Elias Djemil-Matassov is a director, designer and photographer. Not limited to any register nor any technique, his artistic reflection takes shape above all through the universal medium of the image: “The image, of any sort, frozen in time or in motion, invented or inspired by reality, always brings us back not only to ourselves, but above all to others.” Drawn between his love of popular cinema and abstract art, his approach was refined by a dozen short films and a dozen music videos awarded internationally as director and designer. Film «Franciszka» by Elias won SPIFF World Cup of Dance Video 2019.
Jury member Ana Silvério (Brazil).
Ana Silvério is from Brazil, where she began her studies of Ballet, Folk Dances, Jazz and Drama. She received a first-class honours degree in “Choreography, Methodology and Pedagogy of Dance” from the St. Petersburg University of Human Sciences, RussiaAna performed with the White Nights Ballet Theatre, Folk dance group Banzé, Performing Arts Company Lorenzo Fernandez, among others. She was awarded as a dancer and choreographer in different dance festivals and also served on the judging committee of many others. She has published several articles on dance history and critique, and the commented translation of the book “Basic Principles of Classical Dance” by Vaganova, from Russian to Portuguese.Ana is based in York, UK. She is a freelance ballet and ballet repertoire teacher. Ana founded recently Terpshichoring dance company and serves as its choreographer and artistic director.
